The Bray and District Council of Trade Unions is hosting a wreath laying ceremony to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of James Byrne (Secretary of Kingstown/ Dun Laoghaire ITGWU Branch) who died as a result of a hunger and thirst strike during the 1913 Lockout.
The ceremony is taking place on Sunday, 10th November, in Deansgrange Cemetery, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, commencing at the Main Gate at 12.00 p.m.
ICTU President, John Douglas, and SIPTU President, Jack O'Connor, will be in attendance. All are welcome, including banners!
