The have also called on the Government to ensure that adequate funding is secured to ensure current ambulance response times are maintained and improved within the Dublin city area.
SIPTU Organiser, Brendan O’Brien, said that the Dublin Fire Brigade ambulance and paramedic response times are consistently ranked as the best in the country and it is imperative that this high level of service is maintained through the continued provision of a fire based Emergency and Medical Service.
