SIPTU has confirmed that it has been invited by the Labour Relations Commission (LRC) to a meeting tomorrow to update it on the continuing lockout of workers at the Greyhound Recycling and Recovery depots in west Dublin.
“We have been contacted by the LRC and have been invited to meet with it tomorrow with a view to appraising it of the current situation in this protracted dispute,” said SIPTU Divisional Organiser, Owen Reidy.
“We welcome the invitation by the LRC which will allow it to assess whether there is any potential for meaningful talks with the company,” he added.
Eighty members of SIPTU have been locked out by Greyhound since 17th June.
