
On Wednesday 23rd June, the STOP67 Campaign hosted a webinar to discuss its demand for the introduction of a statutory Right to Remain in the Job with expert legal and industrial relations practitioners.
Following discussions with other stakeholders the STOP67 Coalition was formally launched by SIPTU in January 2020. Along with SIPTU, the Coalition includes the National Women’s Council of Ireland, Age Action and Active Retirement Ireland.

SIPTU is proud of our role in ensuring that today, the first day of a new year, over 21,000 workers now won’t have to wait until they are 67 to get their State Pension. Onwards to 2021!
The STOP67 coalition has expressed its disappointment at the failure of the Government to appoint enough members to the Pension Commission who reflect the interests of those most affected by the proposed pension age increase and in particular organisations representing women and older people.
