Meeting on how trade unions in New Zealand defeated zero hour contracts

New Zealand trade unionists will discuss how they effectively tackled the threat of zero hour contracts in the fast food sector at a meeting in the Unite Hall on Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1, on Wednesday, 11th May, at 7.00 p.m.

Those addressing the meeting include Unite (NZ) National Director, Mike Treen, and Unite (NZ) Organiser, Joe Carolan.
 
Mike Treen said: "
In March this year, fast food workers in New Zealand won a very significant victory. Through union organising, fast food strikes and a vibrant political campaign, zero hours contracts have been outlawed since April this year.

The event is open to all trade union activists and supporters.
