SIPTU members will conduct a one-day work stoppage at the National Gallery, Dublin, on Thursday (5th June) in dispute related to the removal of seven annual leave days. SIPTU Organiser, Jason Palmer, said: “The dispute at the National Gallery is centred around a Labour Court recommendation to remove seven annual leave days from workers. Our members have voted against the recommendation but are willing to engage in meaningful talks with management to resolve this dispute.”He added: “The dispute does not fall under the Public Service Agreement and as such the Labour Court did not issue a binding recommendation.”Currently, 39 SIPTU members are affected by the threatened removal of seven annual leave days. The work stoppage on Thursday will commence at 8.00 a.m. and conclude at 8.30 p.m.
