SIPTU representatives, along with their colleagues from Unite, will attend talks at the Workplace Relations Commission concerning the dispute at the Cadbury’s production plant in Coolock, Dublin 5, Friday (4th march) at 10.30 a.m. SIPTU Sector Organiser, John Dunne, said: “Our union representatives have decided to attend these talks in the hope that a resolution can be found to this dispute. However, the work stoppage at the plant will continue tomorrow and the pickets outside the plant will remain in operation.” The dispute at the Cadbury’s production plant, which is owned and operated by Mondelez Ireland, results from an attempt by management to unilaterally outsource the jobs of 17 directly employed store workers.
