SIPTU representatives have welcomed the confirmation that outstanding wages and arrears due to the players of Bray Wanderers FC are being processed this evening (Thursday, 19th July). SIPTU Sport Sector Organiser, Denis Hynes, said: “SIPTU representatives have received confirmation that all outstanding wages and arrears have been paid to our members among the playing staff of Bray Wanders FC. We have been assured by the chairman of the club, Gerry Mulvey, that the outstanding wages and arrears have been paid today into the bank accounts of the players.   “SIPTU representatives, and the officials in our affiliate the Professional Footballers Association of Ireland, will now monitor the situation at the club going forward to ensure no further issues emerge.” He added: “That this situation has been resolved to the satisfaction of the players ensures the continued representation of County Wicklow at the higher levels of domestic soccer. This resolution is good for Bray Wanderers FC and the game in Ireland.”
