SIPTU representatives have welcomed the decision by OCS Ltd to withdraw notices of compulsory redundancy served on three union members at Cork Airport. SIPTU Organiser, Tony Carroll, said: “We welcome the decision of the company to withdraw its notices of compulsory redundancy on three of our members at Cork Airport. “We also recognise the decision of the company to attend the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) and to find a long term solution to the issues involved. “We will now withdraw our notice to ballot SIPTU members for strike action at OCS Ltd. at Cork Airport and look forward to resolving this dispute at the WRC.”
