SIPTU members have continued the campaigning in opposition to the HSE’s Pay and Numbers Strategy throughout the month of November. Most recently, protests took place at Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise on November 27th and St. Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin on November 28th.
SIPTU’s Health Division has been to the fore in ensuring the concerns of members are being raised in all engagements on the Pay and Numbers Strategy. SIPTU Organisers are engaging locally with shop stewards and members to determine what impact the HSE’s approach to staffing is having on services. Issues raised around vacancies are being progressed by this Union in locations across the country.
SIPTU continues to encourage members to raise any staffing issues that are arising in their employments with their shop stewards or SIPTU Organiser for progressing with the full support of the Union.
