The ICTU Staff Panel of Health Trade Unions held a meeting with the HSE and Department of Health in July to discuss the use of the local bargaining clause of the recent Public Service Pay Agreement in the health sector.
The current Public Service Agreement provides for a 3% payment under a local bargaining clause of which the first instalment of 1% is due for payment on 1st September 2025. The remaining 2% is due to be considered within the next phase of national pay talks negotiations in 2026.
