Leading stars of Irish music including Declan O’Rourke and Lynched will perform at a concert to commemorate the Easter Rising in Liberty Hall Theatre, Dublin 1, on Friday (1st April) at 8.00 p.m. The event entitled Freedom doesn’t fall from the sky will be compered by the poet Theo Dorgan and will also include performances by Karan Casey, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Aoife Scott, Cora Venus Lunny, Lisa Dowdall, Louis de Paor, Mick O’Brien, Kate Ellis, Niall and Caoimhín Vallely. The great grandson of James Connolly, Jim Connolly Heron, will also speak during the concert. SIPTU Head of Communications, Frank Connolly, said: “This event brings together many of the leading talents of Irish music today.
